Dr. Tom Minas...

... is a member of the Knee Society, and in 2013 his team was honored with the Insall Award for his work on Long Term Outcomes assessment of ACI in the knee. He is involved in the development of tissue preserving implants and instrumentation for knees targeted at joint resurfacing. His work in patient-specific knee replacement has led to the introduction of a family of tissue preserving, customized implants based on patient-specific imaging data to restore native articulating geometry.

Dr Minas is an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Director of the Cartilage Repair Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Toronto and his Masters in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his fellowship in Trauma and Joint Reconstruction at the Sunnybrook Medical Centre in Toronto, Canada and a Total Joint Arthroplasty fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Tim Bryant, RN, BSN ...

...has been a vital part of the CRC since it was founded. Tim received his B.S. in Nursing from Ball State University. He is trained for assisting in the O.R. specializing in Orthopedics. He manages and coordinates the multiple research endeavors at the CRC for Dr Minas and Dr Gomoll. He has co-authored numerous articles including the 2013 Insall Award on Long Term Outcomes assessment of ACI, authored multiple case studies and helped edit the book as well as produce all DVD content for Dr Minas' Orthopaedic text book "A Primer in Cartilage Repair and Joint Preservation of the Knee." He also has an active role in Dr. Minas' clinical practice.

Kiet Le, PA-C, MPAS, CSCS, CF-L1

...joined us at the Cartilage Repair Center after spending the last year as a Physician Assistant at the Bone and Joint Center of Southern New Mexico (Las Cruces, NM), where he worked in general orthopedics. He covered a wide range of orthopedic conditions and all aspects of pre- and post-surgical care. The majority of his experience was in total joints (knees, hips, shoulders), arthroscopic surgery, fracture care, and pediatric orthopedics.

Kiet completed his Physician Assistant education at Albany Medical College (Albany, NY), and his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine at Quinnipiac University (Hamden, CT). He has extensive prior experience in orthopedics and sports medicine, having also worked as an athletic trainer at Fairfield University (soccer and baseball) and Yale University (ice hockey and football).

Kiet is an avid weight lifter and CrossFitter, who obtained his Level-1 training certification in 2015. He also enjoys watching and playing sports, cooking, photography, playing guitar, and traveling.
